Vermigold® an Organically Produced Bio Stimulant

VermiGold’s® vermicompost extract is 100% natural and produced by large quantities of compost worms. These worms are a fed a variety of high quality foods, which are naturally produced. This Bio Stimulant is purely natural, free of any artificial enhancements, additives or chemicals.

Regular use of VermiGold® improves soil biodiversity through promotion of beneficial microbes, which in turn enhances plant growth. VermiGold® unlocks the nutrients in the soil, making it readily available for plant uptake.

The use of chemical fertilisers on crops and pastures could have harsh impact on soil micro flora. This naturally produced soil conditioner assists in reducing the nutrient imbalance by replenishing the wide variety of beneficial bacteria and microbes that have been lost over time.

VermiGold® is extensively laboratory tested and is proven to have high levels of microorganisms, consisting of excellent numbers of a wide diversity of beneficial bacteria, fungi and other microbes. Due to its natural worm production processes, bacterial stress was low, and lower than typical vermi-compost extracts.

Comments

Most microbial groups were present and, compared to typical levels for vermi-compost extract, were at excellent levels. True anaerobes were present, which is typical of vermi-compost extracts, but levels were below typical, which is a good result. Microbial diversity was much higher than typical levels, which is an excellent result.

Typical levels are based on other samples labelled ‘vermi-compost extract’ (or similar) received by the lab. Dr Ash Martin

Explanations

Microbe Wise for Liquids uses a culture-independent molecular method (PLFA) to analyse the unique cell membrane ‘fingerprint’ of each microbe type, and quantify key groups important to soil processes. This method is more accurate than other methods, such as direct microscopy or plate culture, because it uses chemical extraction to remove maximal microbial material from the sample, does not depend on the culturability of microbes and is repeatable to 0.01% between replicate analyses. It measures organisms that are alive or recently dead (within a few hours). Always compare your results with a control sample. CFU/ml is an estimate of colony farming units per litre calculated from PLFAs, assuming all measured microbes were culturable. In reality, only a very small (<5%) proportion of environmental microorganisms are culturable, which is why Microbe Wise for Liquid uses a culture-independent (PLFA) method. However, an estimate of CFUs/ml from microbial PLFAs has been included.
