How to use

1. Choose the right application rate using the guide below – by area, plant or pot size.
2. For planting, mix Osmocote Landscape Formula into the backfill soil before refilling the hole around roots.
3. For established plants, sprinkle in a band around the dripline (under the outer edge of the foliage), then cover with mulch.
4. Water well after application to settle the soil and start the nutrient release.

Application guide

• Broadcast over beds at 50–80 g per m², or use the table on pack as a guide.
• Perennial and annual flower beds – planting: 6 tablespoons (TBL) per m² of bed OR 1/2 TBL per perennial plant.
• Perennial and annual flower beds – maintenance: 4 TBL per m² of bed OR 1/2 TBL per perennial plant.
• Trees and shrubs in pots: 15 cm pot – 3 TBL; 20 cm pot – 4 TBL; 25 cm pot – 5 TBL; maintenance – 2 TBL per 30 cm of plant height.
• Self-watering pots: make 10 cm deep holes a few centimetres in from the rim, fill with Osmocote and water from the top once or twice to start feeding (three holes is enough for a 20 cm pot).
• Measurement note: 1 TBL (tablespoon) = 15 g.

When to use

• At planting time to get new plants off to a strong start.
• Early spring as soils warm and growth picks up.
• Early autumn to carry plants through the cooler months.
• Do not fertilise during the peak of summer.
