Floracote Topdress + Iron
Floracote Topdress + Iron is the controlled-release topdress fertiliser nurseries and turf managers use when they need deep, dark green colour that lasts—now available for home lawns and gardens. 130SGN prill size—significantly smaller and less obvious than standard topdress products.
Pale lawn or plants that fade between feeds?
Standard topdress fertilisers either release too fast (surge growth, then fade) or use large granules that sit on the surface looking obvious. You're stuck choosing between performance and appearance. And without enough iron, you get growth without that rich, dark green tone.
Controlled release with serious iron
Floracote Topdress + Iron uses Reactive Layers Coating technology. Nutrients diffuse out based on soil temperature, not moisture—so rain doesn't trigger a dump. You get 20% fast-release nitrogen for quick green-up, and 80% controlled-release to sustain growth for up to 4 months.
The 5% iron is what drives the lush, dark green colour. Not just green—deep, healthy green that holds between applications. Magnesium supports chlorophyll production to intensify the tone. Trace elements keep plants functioning properly without deficiencies slowing them down.
The 130SGN prill size is significantly smaller than standard topdress products. Still visible when applied, but far more aesthetically pleasing than the chunky granules most topdress fertilisers use.

Good to Know
Longevity varies with soil temperature. At 21°C expect 4–5 months. In cooler conditions (16°C) it stretches to 5–6 months. In warmer soils (26°C) it runs closer to 3–4 months.
The coating is durable—dust-free handling and long shelf life. Popular with home lawn enthusiasts who want professional-grade results without the hassle of frequent reapplication.
When incorporating into potting media, factor in the dilution effect: 1g/L = 1kg/m³ in theory, slightly less in practice when mixing or repotting.
